AS AN ARTIST,
I SEEK TO
TRANSFORM
As an artist, I seek to transform human ideas into tangible expressions that resonate with beauty, purpose and emotion. My work is designed to enrich spaces - whether in the home or business - by creating a deeper connection between the viewer and the art.
I have never questioned what I was meant to do in this life.
I’ve been an artist from the moment I was born. I was holding a crayon before I was walking or talking. Creation pours from me whether I want it to or not. It is a river I cannot dam, a gift and a curse, and my greatest accomplishment. I don’t want fame as an artist, I want my art to be able to stand alone without me. I am merely a method of transfer for the world to experience my imagination.
I didn’t set a goal to become a muralist.
In high school, I used to do street chalk art for fun. This won me a lot of attention online around the time that my town’s Chamber of Commerce was seeking an artist. A historical mural that had been damaged by water, and they needed help bringing it back to life.
People online told them to “find the chalk girl”.
It was the year after I graduated high school, and I had told the chamber that I hadn't gone to college because I couldn't afford it. They hired me over a handful of other artists to help fund my tuition. Suddenly I had so many job requests in front of me and I realized I had a career within my grasp all along.
